  Complete Freeform Modeling and Inspection Technology

  Imageware Products provide modular, application-driven solutions in the areas of freeform product design, rapid surfacing, high-quality surfacing, reverse engineering, computer aided verification, polygonal modeling and rapid prototyping. It enables customers to design, accurately build, and fully inspect high-quality freeform products in less time.

  The primary module offering, Imageware Surfacing, is a powerful and intuitive surface creation tool for direct creation of freeform surfaces from curves, surfaces, or measured point data. The flexible design environment supports both Bezier and NURBS surface patch layout. Dynamic surface modification tools allow design changes to be explored interactively to immediately visualize the aesthetic and engineering implications of the design. The creation tools offer a mechanism for developing anything from rapid to high-quality surfaces including surfaces with the high accuracy and smoothness required of automotive Class A. Efficient continuity and constraint management tools maintain surface-to-surface transitions up to curvature continuity.

  Real-time diagnostics provide a complete suite of quality analysis tools. These tools are instrumental in identifying surface curvature and highlights used to detect surface flaws, deviations and imperfections. Additionally, Imageware digital validation tools include checking for machining capability, parting lines and surface gaps, to identify design flaws before data is released to downstream processes.

  A second primary module, Imageware Inspection, is a versatile and easy-to-use 3D measurement system that compares physical parts to nominal CAD models. Deviation analysis in both graphical and textual reports are available for interpretation of results, reports can be shared in a web standard pdf format for enterprise communication. In addition, the Inspection module provides a comprehensive set of tools to handle optical sensor point clouds and discrete CMM measurement data. The point processing allows the user to clean up, sample, filter, merge, cross section, offset, project point sets, extract points and compute dimensions for critical features and edges. This is critically important, particularly when processing thousands or perhaps millions of points typically collected from today's optical scanners.

   Other module offerings available include polygon modeling and modification, rapid prototyping, as well as a host of data bridges for import and export of CAD geometry from Catia, Pro Engineer or Unigraphics Parasolid.
